Sintra, Portugal. I was walking alone in the forest leading to Cape Roca, the westernmost tip of the Eurasian continent.
I felt the coniferous scent burst into particles in my nostrils.
At that moment, I suddenly remembered that when I was young, I raised swallowtail butterfly larvae. I took the humble pale yellow egg home and fed it daily with pepper leaves after it hatched.
A few days after it became a pupa, a swallowtail butterfly with beautiful wings came out from inside. He seemed a little confused, perhaps reluctant to leave the house where he spent his childhood, but in the end he quietly took off from the balcony.
It has a gorgeous scent of woody notes, incense, leather, rose, and spices such as Sichuan pepper and ginger.
Lemon, bergamot, rosemary, basil, Sichuan pepper, cinnamon, ginger, cumin, clove, iris, rose, geranium, leather, papyrus, patchouli, musk
